Established in 1999, Smooth Jazz News is a contemporary jazz, lifestyle and travel magazine that covers the best genre artists, festivals, concerts and cruises globally, plus a calendar of events, with splashes of art, culture and travel. Our content also includes book reviews, Cashmira’s Starguide, a DISCover New Music page, and other newsworthy discoveries we find throughout our jazz travels.
The once-top-rated radio format, which featured a special mix of instrumentals, soothing vocals and classic R&B hits, has evolved into a music-themed lifestyle that integrates travel, fosters friendships and fuels fun for the over-50 crowd. Their passion for the music is slightly eclipsed by the many exhilarating adventures it offers year-round: Valentine’s Day concerts in February, winery jazz venues from spring through fall, art festivals and food fairs, summer music festivals, full-ship jazz charters, holiday tours and New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Our readers also enjoy fine dining, first-class travel, spa indulgences and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Sunday champagne jazz brunches are also quite popular, with Spaghettini Fine Dining & Entertainment in Seal Beach, California, perched firmly at the No. 1 “Best Of” spot. One never knows when a celebrity or top smooth jazz artist will be dining and/or making a special stage appearance there.
As we ease back into post-pandemic life, we will publish five print editions of Smooth Jazz News in 2023: February-March, April-May, June-July, August-September and October-November-December.
